Our Values Statement
Quest Community Church holds dearly to these core ministry values:
10. Family-Oriented Ministry
We value family as the most foundational unit of society. We deeply value marriage as a covenant with God. We value the training of our children in the principles of God’s Word so they may know Christ personally and grow into spiritually mature adults. We recognize and consider needs of all ages in our Body. We value the wisdom of older men and older women who can teach and train the younger ones.
Gen. 2:16-25; Deut. 6:4-7; Matt. 2:16, 19:4-6; 1 Tim. 3:5;
Eph. 5:22-23; 1 Peter 3:1, 7; Titus 2:1-8.11. Spiritual Parenting
We are committed to spiritual parenting on every level of church and ministry life. Participation in a cell is a fundamental commitment. We believe the Lord desires to raise up spiritual families in many levels including cells, congregations, and the Kingdom of God.
Mal. 4:5-6; 1 Cor. 4:15-17; 1 John 2:12-14.12. Servant Leadership
We value every sphere of leadership to exemplify and model servanthood. Leaders are called to listen to God’s will and direction. They are called to walk in humility, integrity, bearing fruits of the Spirit, and walk in the fear of the Lord. In every area of church life we believe we need to submit to those who rule over us in the Lord and esteem them highly in love for their work’s sake.
Matt. 10:42, 20:26-28, 25: 35-40; Gal. 5:22-23;
Heb. 13:17; 1 Thess. 5:12-13; Col. 3:23-24.13. Stewardship
We value the principle of the tithe as part of God’s plan to honor and provide substance for those He has placed over us in spiritual authority. Those in authority over us in the lord are responsible for proper distribution of the tithes and offerings. We believe in generously giving offerings over and above the tithe to support ministries, churches, families, and individuals as needed. We are called to help the poor and needy, those in prisons, orphans, and widows. We must reach out locally, nationally, and internationally. We believe that every area of ministry and church life needs to be financially responsible and accountable to those in oversight in order to maintain a high standard of integrity.
